Blueline Laundry is committed to reducing our environmental footprint by reducing chemical, water, gas and electricity usage across our operations.

Water Recycling

Water is a critical component of our laundry operations, and water conservation is one of the most effective ways to reduce our environmental impact. Our Launceston and Hobart laundries have installed BlueOcean Water Treatment and Recycling Systems, which filter and recycle the wash water, reducing overall water use by 25%.

Energy and Gas Reduction

By investing in the best sustainability technology, Blueline Laundry has reduced our energy and gas consumption. The recycled filtered water retains its heat, which is reused in combination with low temperature wash formulas from JayChem.

Not only is our energy consumption reduced, but also our atmospheric steam and heat emissions.

Sustainable Products

Our linen is by nature sustainable, compared to throwaway single use items.

Our low temperature washing increases the working lifespan of linen so we don’t need to replace it as often.

Our condemned linen is re-purposed or donated to charities such as Bonorong Wildlife Park and Brightside Farm Sanctuary.
