Empowering learning

An insight into the amazing work the 26TEN initiative is doing on site, and the courage and determination of Blueline employees to make the most of the opportunity.

With thanks to the support of Work & Training, Blueline-Laundry were able to access grant funding to initiate the 26TEN program at it’s Launceston and Hobart sites in 2022.

The program primarily works by engaging employees at Blueline Laundry in one on one sessions with a learning instructor from the 26TEN initiative, who helps to shape the learning according to each individuals needs and desired outcomes. Many employees at Blueline Laundry have had negative past learning experiences that have impacted their access to fundamental numeracy and literacy education. We see this program as a fantastic opportunity to provide a positive one.

A huge thank you to Catherine, Margaret and Anthony for sharing a bit of your journey and inspiring us daily in so many ways. Such a powerful reminder of what so many of us take for granted.
