Key Note Speech and Diversity Award for Blueline
Blueline Laundry has been recognised for our contribution and efforts in helping skilled employees find roles that suit their experience with the first annual Award for Cultural Diversity in the Workplace presented to CEO Michael Sylvester by the Multicultural Council of Tasmania (MCOT).
Michael was the key note speaker at the inaugural Multicultural Tasmania Employer Conference (MTEC 2022) held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Hobart with the theme "Diversity is good for business".
In his speech Michael demonstrated how embracing diversity has transformed the organisation. “Diversity is a practice, it’s a way of thinking and a way of being,“ he said.
The sold out event on Thursday 7 July also included a key note from Tasmanian Premier The Hon. Jeremy Rockliff and featured further guests from UTAS, Downer Group, Glenorchy Jobs Hub, Searson Buck, Jobs Tasmania and many others.
Feedback across social media was overwhelmingly positive from both participants and contributors to the event, and we are so honoured to have been invited to share our story.
